Custom live-work residence designed to integrate private residential spaces with an owner-operated dog grooming workspace. The project includes a daylight lower level with walk-out access, a lofted second level, and a lofted garage volume, creating a layered section with vertical openings, natural light, and efficient connections between living, work, storage, garage, and service areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Led architectural and structural design development for a custom private residence.

  • Developed the building layout, floor plans, massing, exterior expression, roof forms, and overall residential design character.

  • Produced design renderings and visualization materials for client review and portfolio presentation.

  • Prepared architectural and structural documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, details, framing concepts, and coordination items.

  • Coordinated design intent with structural requirements, site conditions, constructability, and client goals.

Results

The project was a great success. The project was completed on time, and the client was very satisfied with the final result. The design plan was executed effectively, and the resulting space has exceeded expectations. The team also finished construction under the calculated budget.
